Installation service
Commercial installation
Filtration for offices, restaurants, medical and dental rooms, and schools, specified around throughput, equipment protection, and any documentation the site has to keep.
Specified around throughput and consequence
Commercial filtration is specified differently from residential. The questions are how much water passes through, what happens to the business when the equipment fails, and what the site has to be able to document.
Throughput drives cartridge sizing, and commercial cartridges are rated in gallons rather than months for that reason. A busy cafe reaches a rating in weeks where an office kitchen takes a year.
Consequence drives redundancy. A restaurant with one ice machine and no filtration bypass loses ice service during a cartridge change. Twin manifolds and bypass arrangements cost more up front and pay for themselves the first time a change happens mid service.
Sectors we work in and what each one needs
Restaurants and cafes, where scale is the main equipment killer and where taste carries directly into the product. Espresso is the exception that surprises people, because fully softened water makes poor coffee and the specification is usually a blend.
Offices, where the question is almost always drinking water rather than building water, and where a plumbed bottleless cooler removes delivery and storage from the operation.
Medical and dental practices, where autoclaves and some instruments need low dissolved solids feed water, and where maintenance records are often inspected.
Schools, where lead at drinking outlets is the usual driver and where filtered bottle fillers serve as the interim control while longer-term plumbing work is planned.
Scheduling, documentation, and access
Most commercial work happens outside trading hours, and we plan around your operation rather than the other way round. For a restaurant that usually means early morning. For a school it usually means a holiday period.
Where filtration is a condition of an equipment warranty, we check the manufacturer's documentation and specify to meet it, then provide written confirmation of what was fitted so the warranty position is defensible.
Where the site has to hold maintenance records, we log every visit with the date, what was changed, and the readings taken. For a school with published sampling results, that log is part of the compliance position rather than an administrative extra.
What we need in place
These are checked at the survey rather than discovered on the day. Where something is missing it changes the scope, and we would rather price that honestly up front.
- Access during or outside trading hours as the site requires
- Equipment manufacturer requirements where filtration is a warranty condition
- Any sampling results the site is already required to hold
Typical duration. Varies by site. A single beverage manifold is half a day, a multi-outlet school retrofit runs longer.
Permits and local rules
Commercial plumbing work is permitted in most jurisdictions and may require a licensed plumber of record. Confirmed per site.
Equipment this covers
- Commercial ice machine and beverage filters. Scale and chlorine control sized to the throughput of ice machines, coffee brewers, and beverage dispensers.
- Bottleless water coolers. A cooler plumbed into the building supply with filtration built in, replacing delivered bottles.
- Drinking fountain and bottle filler filters. Filters fitted to fountains and bottle fillers in schools, offices, and public buildings.
Common questions
Can you work outside our trading hours?
Yes, and for most commercial sites that is the default rather than an extra. Restaurants are usually early morning, offices are usually evenings, and schools are usually holiday periods. We plan around your operation because an installation that closes a kitchen during service costs the business far more than the work itself.
Our equipment warranty requires filtration. Can you certify what you fitted?
Yes. We check the manufacturer's documentation for the specific requirement, specify to meet it, and provide written confirmation of what was installed and to which standard. That matters when a warranty claim is made later, because a verbal assurance that the water was filtered is not a defensible position.
How often will commercial cartridges need changing?
By volume rather than by date, because throughput varies enormously between sites. Cartridges are rated in gallons, and a busy cafe can reach a rating in weeks where a small office kitchen takes over a year. We size on the equipment's rated consumption and your actual trading pattern, then set an interval from that and log each change.

Where we work
We cover New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and New York. Because water quality is a local fact, our service area pages carry the utility, source water, treatment method, and reported contaminants for each town, with the report they came from and the year it covers.
