This form is not taking enquiries yet. We are finishing setup and it will be live shortly.

Send us the model number first

We fit equipment you already own, and the useful work happens before the visit. Send us the model number and we will look up what it is actually certified for, what it needs in terms of drain, power, and space, and whether it suits your plumbing.

That check is free and it occasionally saves the whole visit. If the unit will not do what you bought it for, you are usually still inside a return window, and knowing that now is worth more than having it fitted.

We will also tell you what is missing. Online kits frequently omit the fittings needed for the specific pipe material in a given property, and discovering that with your water off is the worst time to discover it.

Where online purchases most often go wrong

Certification language. A filter certified under NSF/ANSI 42 is tested for taste and odour, mainly chlorine. It is not tested for lead. Lead reduction is standard 53. PFAS reduction is 53 or the P473 protocol. Listings routinely imply coverage the certification does not support, and the wording is usually carefully chosen.

Flow rate. A filter rated below the property's demand produces a pressure drop that appears as a weak shower whenever another fixture runs. The rating is on the datasheet rather than the product page.

Consumables. A cheap unit with proprietary cartridges can cost considerably more over five years than a more expensive one taking standard sizes. We will work that out with you if you ask before buying.

What we will and will not do

We will fit it properly, to the same standard as equipment we supplied, and we will commission it: flush the media, set tank pressure where relevant, pressure test the joints, and leave you the replacement schedule.

We will tell you if we think it is the wrong tool for your water, and we will explain why. Then, if you want it fitted anyway, we will fit it. It is your equipment and your decision.

What we cannot do is warrant the unit itself. Our work is covered by our own terms, and the equipment remains the manufacturer's responsibility, which is worth understanding before rather than after.

What we need in place

These are checked at the survey rather than discovered on the day. Where something is missing it changes the scope, and we would rather price that honestly up front.

  • The model number, sent to us before the visit
  • All parts and fittings the manufacturer supplies
  • The same access the equivalent new installation would need

Typical duration. 1 to 4 hours depending on the unit

Permits and local rules

Same permit position as any equivalent installation. Buying the unit yourself does not change the local code.

Equipment this covers

  • Reverse osmosis, tank. A membrane system under the sink that produces treated water to a dedicated tap and stores it in a small pressure tank.
  • Under-sink carbon filters. A carbon block cartridge on the cold line under the sink.
  • Whole-house filtration. A filter plumbed into the main line where water enters the building, so every tap, shower, and appliance downstream is fed treated water.
  • Water softeners. An ion exchange system that swaps calcium and magnesium for sodium or potassium, which is the only method that actually removes hardness minerals from the water.

Common questions

Will you tell me if I bought the wrong thing?

Yes, before the visit rather than after. Send the model number and we will look up what it is actually certified for and whether it suits your plumbing and your water. That check is free and it sometimes saves the whole visit, because you are often still inside a return window. Then if you want it fitted anyway, we will fit it. It is your equipment and your call.

Does fitting my own filter void anything?

Our work is covered by our own terms regardless of who supplied the equipment. What we cannot do is warrant the unit itself, which remains the manufacturer's responsibility. Some manufacturers require professional installation for their warranty to hold, which is often the reason people call us, and we provide written confirmation of the work for that purpose.

The kit did not come with the right fittings. Is that normal?

Very common. Online kits are built for a generic installation and frequently omit the adaptors needed for a specific pipe material or an unusual shutoff. We identify what is missing when you send the model number, and bring it with us. Discovering a missing fitting with your water already off is the worst possible time to discover it.

Where we work

We cover New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and New York. Because water quality is a local fact, our service area pages carry the utility, source water, treatment method, and reported contaminants for each town, with the report they came from and the year it covers.
