Warranty and guarantee
What we stand behind, in writing, and what belongs to the equipment manufacturer instead.
Two different warranties
Every installation involves two separate promises and they are frequently confused. Our workmanship warranty covers the work we did: the fittings, the connections, the commissioning, and whether the system was installed correctly. The manufacturer's warranty covers the equipment itself, and it is given by them rather than by us.
If a compression joint we made starts weeping, that is ours. If a membrane fails inside its rated life, that is a manufacturer claim, and we will handle the paperwork for it where we supplied the unit.
Our workmanship warranty
Written terms are published here once finalised. We do not advertise a warranty period before the terms behind it exist, because a stated period with no written terms is not something a customer can rely on or enforce.
What a warranty does not cover
Consumables reaching the end of their rated life. A carbon cartridge that stops working after its rated volume has not failed, it has finished. The same applies to softener resin at the end of its service life and to ultraviolet lamps after twelve months.
Damage from missed maintenance. A membrane fouled because pre-filters were never changed, or a softener destroyed by iron it was never specified to handle, are maintenance outcomes rather than defects.
Changes in the water itself. A system specified against a laboratory test remains correct for that water. If a well changes, the equipment has not failed.
Equipment you supplied. Where we install a unit you bought, our work is warranted and the equipment remains entirely the manufacturer's responsibility.
Language we will not use
We do not describe anything as carrying a lifetime warranty unless written terms define whose lifetime, what is covered, and what voids it. We do not advertise a money-back guarantee without the conditions attached. Terms that exist only as a phrase on a website are not terms.
Making a claim
Contact us with the installation date and the model. We will tell you which of the two warranties applies and, where it is a manufacturer claim, what they will need. Keep the handover sheet we leave with you, since it carries the model, the install date, and the replacement schedule.
